We are seeking a Business Line Supply Planning Manager. The Business Line (BL) Supply Manager is responsible for the development of a supply plan that balances all aspects of supply with the demand plan and meets financial, service and operational objectives for the supply chain. This includes all aspects of supply for the business line and requires coordination with the plant, purchasing, distribution, transportation and finance teams to create the appropriate capacity, production, inventory, procurement and transportation plans. It includes the development, adherence management, and regular adjustment of the supply plan to meet evolving customer demand. Ultimately, the Business Line Supply Manager is responsible for all aspects of managing the continuous and efficient supply of finished good products to customers at optimal levels of inventory and manufacturing efficiency. Primary KPI accountability for overall Material Availability and its impact on OTIF, Inventory Dollars, Days on Hand, and Vendor Shipping Performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train, motivate and coach a team of supply planners in best practices
  • Develop and maintain an optimized supply plan that meets customer demand at optimal inventory levels
  • Ensure continuous and efficient supply of finished goods products to customers thru supply-demand balancing leadership
  • Lead monthly SIOP supply planning and balancing process to align supply with demand and document assumptions, risks and mitigation actions via:
    • Rough cut capacity planning
    • Inventory planning
    • Manufacturing constraints
    • FG supply capacity review/constraints
    • Raw material/component capacity review/constraints
    • Distribution center capacity review/constraints
  • Lead weekly Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) activities to recognize and act upon changes in demand or supply inside of the SIOP planning cycle
  • Define and analyze multiple feasible scenarios of supply to mitigate capacity constraints
  • Create and maintain inventory plan that supports AOP budget and targeted inventory days of supply
  • Evaluate financial impact associated with risk, opportunity and end-to-end trade-off decisions
  • Execute the appropriate FG supply planning policies by item class (ABCD/XYZ) to meet product line expected demand variation, capacity and material constraints
  • Provide input into longer-term capacity investment needs
  • Influence sourcing decisions and purchasing methodology/policies (MOQs, stocking programs, VMI, etc.)
  • Utilize continuous improvement techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process

EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or Finance.Master's Degree Preferred

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP and Kinaxis RapidResponse preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and requests, make quick & sound decisions and respond with a sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated high aptitude for solving problems, including the ability to teach and coach problem solving techniques
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical supply chain needs in a clear, concise manner to the business
  • Working knowledge and understanding of financial concepts and operational KPIs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (direct and cross functionally) and excellent relationship management
  • Ability to influence and drive solutions across the supply chain
  • Ability to coach, develop and lead others
  • Demonstrated competency in the MS Office Suite of products
  • Above average communication skills - oral, written and presentation
  • Superior organization, coordination, planning and delegation skills
  • Superior process, analytical and problem-solving skills - apply / execute formal techniques (e.g. Kepner Tregoe, 8D)
  • 8-10 years applicable, progressive supply chain planning experience; 3-4 years of formal leadership
  • Strong operations experience with knowledge in capacity, master & production planning
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple material replenishment techniques and purchasing methodologies
  • Applied lean manufacturing techniques including value stream mapping, leveling demand, Kanban calculations and techniques is preferred
  • ASCM (Association of Supply Chain Management) CPIM certification preferred
  • Consumer Goods / Electronics / Aftermarket experience preferred
