Job Description

$5K Sign-On Bonus for candidates with 1+ year of experience as a GI Tech

Position Details

  • Full-time Only - Monday - Friday, Daytime hours, 8 hours per day

  • Permanent position (not a summer role)

  • Includes on-call duties each week

  • No weekends or holidays (unless on call)


Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience

  • Preferred, not required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistance program, Certified Nursing Assistance program or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

  • Experience as a Medical assistant, Patient Care Tech/Nursing Assistant or similar position highly preferred

  • Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required, basic computer experience, able to take vitals and perform CPR

  • CPR (Basic life support) issued by American Heart Association upon hire.

Job Duties

* Room patients, take vital signs
* Maintain the procedure room set up, equipment care and maintenance
* Assist with specimen collection
* Assist physicians during procedures
* Disinfect instruments
* Assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN
