At Daikin Applied, the Electrical Engineer lIl will support the design and application of power electronics including VFDs, transformers, power quality filters, and motors. This role will research, model, develop, design, and test 3-phase (low, medium, and high) voltage electrical components, equipment, and systems by performing the following duties.

A Day in the Life:

• Designs and models electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, domestic and internal purposes.
• Designs and directs engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.
• Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
• Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operation testing conform to UL safety certifications.
• Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
• Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field and internal installations.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

What you will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university.
• Must have 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience with VFD, Motors and Power Electronics required.
• Experience with UL 508a, UL 1995, UL 60335-2-40 a plus.
