General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking for Global Business Development, Field Service Management.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Field service management industry expertise with a focus on utilities, rail and mining; with preferred experience in vegetation management.
  • Leverage existing network and establish new contacts within the Utilities, Rail, Mining and/or Linear Asset sectors, focused on decision makers to develop business based on improving field service management operations including experience with geospatial / remote sensing services .
  • Support win strategies with new clients by working with global sales teams to identify key target accounts where increased business outcomes can be enabled through field service management and in particular, vegetation management that includes geospatial & remote sensing solutions.
  • Clearly articulate the strength and value proposition of Hitachi Energy and its solution portfolio.
  • Understand the key business drivers within an organization and identify key business stakeholders.
  • Understand the client's budgeting and acquisition processes.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, the Pre-Sales team, Account Managers, Sales Leadership, Finance, and Product teams to ensure the process drives measurable growth toward strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with Product Managers regarding products and develop an understanding of internal processes/factors/challenges to establish client scope and deadlines.
  • Participate and present at trade shows, workshops, industry associations, and seminars (as required).
  • Maintain leads and opportunities in CRM (Salesforce).

Your Background:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Domain experience in Energy, Electric Utilities, Rail, Mining or Linear Asset Industries as it relates to field service and vegetation management.
    • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
    • Understanding of field service work management cycle, methodologies, and complexities.
    • Experience in a sales or customer-facing role selling technology services and/or software products.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
    • Willingness to travel and work extended hours.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, arboreal, or a geospatial field (e.g., remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, Geography, etc.)
    • A strategic thinker with executive presence and ability to engage within the C-suite.
    • Technical writing experience and the ability to adapt to new technology trends and translate them into solutions that address client needs.
    • Demonstrated experience with strong partnerships and advocacy with clients.
    • Excellent presentation, white boarding, and negotiation skills including good listening, probing, and qualification abilities.
    • Demonstrated understanding and mitigation of competitive threats.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize activities.
    • Knowledge of the customer finances, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
    • Highly motivated team player with a mature, positive attitude and passion to meet the challenges and opportunities of a business.
    • Ability to frequently travel domestically and internationally.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in vegetation management and/or asset management
    • Three or more years of experience working with or providing geospatial data or technology solutions to clients in the Electric Utility, Energy, &/or other commercial sectors noted above.
    • Demonstrate a thoughtful understanding of insightful industry knowledge and how geospatial and remote sensing technologies apply to vegetation initiatives and trends.
    • Understanding of remote sensing data acquisition technologies, enterprise-level GIS platforms, geospatial applications development, integrated geospatial solutions, and how they relate to Utilities.
    • Understanding of vegetation work management cycle, methodologies, and complexities.
    • Demonstrated experience with leading high-level/executive engagements.
    • Experience with lidar, satellite, drone, aerial imagery, and/or PLS-CADD.
    • Experience with large SaaS based projects and/or initiatives.
    • ISA, UVM or similar standard certification.
    • Working with or at a Utility for three or more years.
