Job Description


This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

This position pays between $63,440.00 to $79,300.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced mathematical and measurement principles to ensure accurate measurement data is received and calculated correctly
  • Ensures industry standards and regulations applicable to gas measurement are met
  • Makes adjustments as necessary to correct and document discrepancies; verifies corrected volumes for orifice meters, positive meters, pressure, temperature, and super compressibility factors as well as BTU factors to uncorrected data
  • Prepares accurate end-user volume statements for distribution
  • Receives and verifies the accuracy of flow, temperature, pressure, time, reads, etc
  • Applies gas quality information to volume data and ensures Company requirements are met
  • Applies sound measurement practices to accurately prepare, analyze, and distribute unaccounted-for gas, peak day, and other special reports
  • Prepares audit packages for internal and external use to verify accuracy and justification of measurement data
  • Compiles gas chromatograph data from internal and external sources; reads, verifies, and interprets accuracy of this data import into measurement system.
  • Reviews work orders to ensure compliance with Company policy
  • Aids operations in sizing and specifying meter sets


Successful Candidate Must Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or computer science or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline
  • Three to five years of gas measurement experience
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Preferred experience with FlowCal, Bill Processing, Gas Measurement, Gas Meters, Chromatology, SOX controls experience, and Troubleshooting data discrepancies.


Working Conditions

Office environment. Ability to stand or walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job.
