  • Position: Manager, Periop & Procedural Business Ops
  • Location: Skokie, IL
  • Full Time: 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4:00p
  • Required Travel: Yes, North region Hospitals

What you will need:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Strongly Preferred: Master's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or other healthcare related degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting and demonstrated success in leading projects and initiatives across teams.
  • Experience in business operations in a highly complex surgical or procedural enterprise and/ or direct experience in healthcare quality / performance improvement or project management.
  • Previous experience in leading large scale surgical, procedural, or other system level projects.

What you will do:

  • Help build, define, and develop centralized business operations strategies for clinical operators in the North Region Interventional Platform.
  • Oversee and direct the daily business operations of defined departments. Supervise staff supporting business operations (surgical and procedural scheduling, charging, auditing, preference card support, admin assistants, etc).
  • Participates in the assessment of the department as well as individual education needs. Plans programs/ in-services to meet clinical leader needs. Serve as an expert around specific team competencies, maintains necessary business and/ or clinical competencies for assigned areas.
  • Manager will have broad knowledge and ability to support all Key Performance Areas:

o Manager will be expected to have greater expertise and focus in 1 of the Key Performance Areas (peers and other leaders will be expected to have expertise and focus in the other areas - to create a balanced team)

o Key Performance Areas include:

* Scheduling, Access, Volume, and Revenue

* Labor Productivity, Staffing Models, Strata Performance
* Supply/Implant, Services, and Capital management

  • Facilitate consensus and adoption of key performance indicators and standardized procedures that minimize variation and inefficiencies across the system.
  • Work intimately with physicians and clinical leaders to negotiate optimal value throughout the system.
  • Identify and address opportunities for integration and standardization of key performance indicators across the system.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of all dashboards, scorecards, and timelines related to the execution of assigned initiatives.
  • Use time and resources to the best possible advantage for successful completion of job responsibilities.
  • Manage ambiguity and determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
  • Assist AVP in connecting project work across the platform, region, and system.
  • Provides recommendations and direction regarding proposed projects and/or other related programs.
  • Create and deliver presentations that translate complex information into business terms appropriate for executive-level constituents.
