Your missions :

Location: Lenexa, KS

Job Summary and Purpose:

The QC Bacteriology Technician I will ensure in-process materials and final product are tested in a manner consistent with Standard Operating Procedures and in compliance with regulations according to 9CFR.

Responsibilities and Key Duties:

* Conduct sterility, purity, potency, and extraneous testing for in-process materials and final product

* Perform gram staining and further bacterial identification when required

* Performed tasks using aseptic technique

* Report any Out of Specification results

* Routine lab maintenance and cleaning

* Assure QC records are accurate, compliant, and capture critical data

Technical / Functional Competencies:

* Basic knowledge of Microbiology

* Must have great aseptic technique

* Must work well with a team

* Basic skills with databases and word processing programs

Qualifications:

Education - Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Veterinary Science or equivalent

Work Experience - Prefer 1 year in Quality Control or relevant lab experience

Other - N/A

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to perform repetitive motions

* Standing for extended periods of time

* Must be able to read, write legible and understand English

* Visual inspection

Working Conditions:

* Handling hazardous materials or other chemicals if necessary
