Summary

The Sr. Applications Engineer IV provides application and technical support for Metrology Software encompassing metrology best practices, demonstration, functionality, and performance. In addition, they are responsible for pre-sales support to the sales teams and post-sales customer support encompassing software usage, software maintenance agreement renewals and promotional events. The Sr. Applications Engineer IV will be a working manager role supporting a team of 3 fully remote employees. Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct software product and advanced custom demonstrations showcasing technical features and processes to prospective and existing customers
  • Effectively communicate product benefits for complex applications
  • Assist regional sales team in providing product recommendations for customers' applications
  • Prepare operating instructions and conducts training programs to meet customer's needs
  • Maintain positive customer relationships through effective interaction
  • Ability to speak and explain technical content regarding portable metrology in conference settings, large groups, as well as conference room settings, small groups.
  • Mentor less experienced Applications Engineers
  • Consults with customers and incorporates needs and feedback into application development
  • Provide technical support to customer
  • Ensures programs/applications work properly during the development phases.
  • Communicate effectively with software development team and software product management to incorporate improved functionality and reliability.
  • Take a challenging issue from problem statement through to resolution and follow-up
  • Keep up with advancements in application engineering and modern technologies
  • Collaborate with engineering and marketing groups on product development projects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Support organizational policies related to safety, environmental protection, housekeeping
Qualifications
  • Spatial Analyzer experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with software tools such as Salesforce
  • Comfortable speaking before small groups.
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Background in manufacturing and engineering
  • Creative, analytical, and driven
  • Works independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, domestic
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, Mathematics, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or similar environment
