Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and administration of assigned applications, working closely with the Application Manager, IT peers, and business partners to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of application upgrade and change scenarios. You will play a critical role in adhering to our application management lifecycle strategy, following all change management standards and practices to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our systems.


.Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning and execution of application upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with business partners and vendors to understand specific application requirements & align update cycles to drive successful adoption of no greater than -2 versioning across the portfolio; engage and communicate exceptions management practices when not feasible.
  • Engage vendors for support and expertise as required to deliver sustainable positioning of assigned applications, ensuring that all application components have managed SLA's, testing procedures and repeatable, practical upgrade paths.
  • Assist in application tuning and monitoring, trouble-shoot integration and production issues while driving support to meet or exceed service level agreements.
  • Communicating effectively with all business partners and the Application Manager across issues and incident management. Assure that the assigned applications support processes and team members/contractors meet Bank Information Security and Policy and support all IT controls and procedures for best practices.
  • Perform regular monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of assigned applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve application-related issues and escalate critical incidents as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Adhere to change management standards and practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, assisting with application-related inquiries and troubleshooting.

.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in application administration, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of application management lifecycle strategies, change management processes, and best practices.
  • Experience working with application upgrade and change scenarios, including planning, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
