Are you looking for a market research leadership role that helps to shape our commercial strategy and accelerate customer engagement? If so this Director, AIR (Anti-Infectives and Respiratory) Market Research role could be an exciting opportunity to explore.

The AIR Market Research Director will partner directly with AIR Marketers to recommend, plan and execute market research, in pursuit of a deeper understanding of customers' attitudes, beliefs and motivations for in-line assets, pipeline assets and business development opportunities. The Director will synthesize across all research studies and provide a concise narrative of opportunities that he/she will share in various forums (insight sessions, ops/strat planning, etc) to influence marketers to act. This role will also play a key role in continuing to progress our capabilities, with goal of uncovering ways (new vendors, new methodologies) to uncover more authentic, timely and actionable insights.

The Director will report into the head of the AIR Commercial Insights BU team and will work with teammates (other market researchers, business analytics personnel) to tie together primary and secondary research in the pursuit of better customer understanding & business opportunities. The primary stakeholders for this role will be the Senior Directors, Directors and Managers within the US AIR Business Unit and Global Therapy Area.

The commercial areas of remit within the purview of the AIR Market Research Director include, but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with AIR marketers to recommend & scope market research.
  • Manage ongoing market research projects to ensure milestones are being achieved.
  • Communicate core market research findings.
  • Collaborate with other cross functional stakeholders (advanced analytics, medical, payer)
  • Synthesize across multiple findings to develop brand opportunities that will be shared in various venues (Strat/Ops Plans, CLT decks, Insight Review Sessions)
  • Progress market research capabilities by identifying emerging methodologies and refreshing list of vendors who can help progress our roadmap.
  • Create and document best practices of market research.
  • Manage MR budgets and oversee MR cost saving initiatives across BUs (efficiencies identified)
  • Own connection to Advanced Analytics for Voice of Customer (NLP work)

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years or more professional experience in role that required use of market research (e.g. market research manager, marketing, insight lead, vendor-side market research, consulting, HEOR)
  • 5 or more years of methodological knowledge of and experience in relevant market research approaches and techniques
  • 5 or more years of market research results to influence decision-making, drive forward opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • 10 years or more professional experience in role that required use of market research
  • Knowledge and experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Evidenced mindset of continuous improvement
  • Ability to influence with or without authority.
  • Proven leadership at Global, Regional and Local levels
