Responsibilities

Design Taste Level

    Work in partnership with other Designers, Art Director and/or Creative Directors and team members to develop best in class experiential solutions in a practical and timely manner.
  • Work closely with teams of all sizes and skill levels in design charrettes and workshops.
  • Apply design aesthetics based on an understanding of the offerings of our clients & their target audiences.
  • Develop effective design solutions created through shape, color, imagery, typography and space.
  • Create new graphics based on style guides from a wide variety of clients.
  • Bring a high taste level to every assigned project and push the limits of a brand's identity.
  • File and format all design work in the appropriate location and form compliance with the standards used within the GES Creative + Design department.

Execution and Inspiration

  • Create graphic design ideas for trade shows, corporate events, brand activations, conferences, delivering on different touch points with flair and consistency.
  • Ability to take direction and understand how to execute designs.
  • Brilliantly present yourself as a considerate and reliable teammate on every project.
  • Proactively explore and uncover new ways to shape the design and approach.
  • Design work based on growing trends in the exhibition industry, pop culture and technology innovations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in 2-dimensional design.
  • Present inspired ideas through deck building, mood boarding, image search - practice of hand illustrations and sketching are a plus.
  • Express knowledge or understanding of motion graphics design.

  • Utilize artistic sensibility and skill to create designs or images for reproduction by any means of visual communication concerned with illustration, typography, surface design for packaging, or the design of patterns, books, advertising, or any form of visual communication.
  • Create large-format designs for signage and banners with precision.
Qualifications
  • Design experience with an in-house creative department or design firm a plus
  • College degree in design-related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud
  • Knowledge of Office 365 with special focus on PowerPoint skills
  • Self-starter instincts with an open mind to creative direction
  • Adaptable and quick learner
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
  • Strong writing skills, ability to detect and correct language errors before graphics are printed
  • Understanding of printing/production processes
  • Developing presentation and communication skills
