Join the team responsible for search engine growth of Dotdash Meredith's portfolio of brands including top ten properties in Finance, Entertainment, Health, Tech, Home, Education, and Travel.

The Manager reports to the Associate Director of Growth & Content Strategy and will work on diverse projects and leverage the best tools to analyze and improve organic search performance (SEO). This role will specifically focus on our health properties Health, Verywell Health, Verywell Mind, Verywell Fit and Parents.. We are looking for someone ready to utilize in-house built software, peer knowledge, and extensive resources to help Dotdash Meredith build world-class content brands and impact our content, technology, user experience, and site performance every day.

About Your Contributions:

  • Working on strategies and innovative approaches to capture market share within competitive and occasional YMYL topic areas

  • Partner with brand leadership and product management to create requirements to improve each site based on SEO research

  • Monitor daily and weekly dashboards to understand search engine trends and the results of our projects

  • Developing programs to elevate existing content into the best content on the web

  • Improving structured data, taxonomy, linking and supplemental content

  • Stay current on industry news, conducts self-directed research and keeps a pulse on the industry through relevant resources

  • Evangelize SEO and content quality throughout the organization through effective communication, coordination, and education

About You:
  • 4-6 years SEO experience, preferably in-house at a large publisher or from an enterprise-level digital consulting agency

  • Strong understanding of intent-driven audiences

  • Track record of delivering (and communicating about) business results from SEO investments

  • Consistently demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit

  • Superior project management

  • Exceptional Excel skills

  • Experience analyzing large data sets generated from multiple sources, including Web analytics, site crawls (Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl), and large third-party SEO databases

  • Familiarity with search analytics tools (rank tracking, Google Analytics, GSC, Looker)

  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, Hive, or Web crawling is a big plus

  • Web-development fluency-must be able to write precise technical SEO requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

Pay Range

Salary: $73,500 - $105,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
