USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA) is the lead federal coordinator for international disaster assistance. USAID/BHA provides and coordinates U.S. Government (USG) international humanitarian assistance to save lives, alleviate human suffering, and reduce the physical, social, and economic impact of rapid and slow-onset disasters by helping people in need become more resilient to future crises. Team Credence, through the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance Support Contract (BHASC), provides operational and administrative support to provide and coordinate humanitarian assistance and maintain 24/7 response capability.

The Travel and Logistics Deputy Manager provides travel support services to all BHA staff, tracks and monitors the status of all travel authorizations, ensures timely responses to queries from the travel team, provides mid-level travel support, and mentors junior travel team members.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
    Tracking and monitoring the status of each travel authorization to ensure timely processing.
  • Preparing and processing travel authorizations in accordance with USAID guidelines;
  • Preparing and processing approval requests for special circumstances that require exceptions to standard procedures, in accordance with USAID and BHA policies for such approvals;
  • Upon request, supporting BHA travelers with assistance in resolving issues related to travel voucher submission; and
  • Assisting BHA in the review of unliquidated balances in travel authorizations to determine if undisbursed funding can be de-obligated.
  • Assist the Travel Manager as needed to authorize ticket purchases, travel advance disbursements, payments for passport, visas, security training, and other travel related expenses on company procurement card, among other items;
  • Assists with international and domestic transportation logistics as required.
  • Travels internationally and/or domestically, as necessary.
  • Assists the Travel Manager as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: BS 2+ Years, MS 0+, or HS 6+
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communications skills - written and verbal
  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a minimum of a USG-issued Secret-level Security Clearance for the duration of your employment on this contract.

Other Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience managing high-performing team in demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of Federal Government travel regulations, and preferable ADS and AIDAR.
  • Knowledge if USAID travel systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel internationally and/or domestically approximately (<5%), as needed

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Hybrid work environment (in-person with the ability to telework);
  • Lifting in excess of 25 lbs, standing for long periods of time, traveling across base regularly, transporting equipment, etc).

Full pay range for this position is $95,000.00 and $110,000.00 per year, with the starting wage determined based on candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.
