Summary
Leader of US Ostomy Sales team, responsible for achieving sales, profit and market share objectives across all US regions for the Ostomy product business, as laid out in the Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan. Develops the best commercial team, delivering consistent sales execution to drive Ostomy growth. This position can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Business Strategies
    • Develop the US Ostomy Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and tactics in close collaboration with the US marketing team, Secure Start Services team and Finance
    • Develop and implement an integrated sales and key account strategy in collaboration with the Key Accounts team to meet sales targets in the Strategic Plan and AOP
    • Execute strategies and tactics outlined to deliver sales, market shares and margin contribution
    • Execute strategies to gain ostomy new fits in the acute, home health, and aftermarket
    • Responsible for maintaining budgets
  • Team Development
    • Lead a team of 6 Region Sales Managers in established regions
    • Develop a best-in-class sales team by co-traveling, assessing, coaching and ensuring collective and individual sales training (CSS)
    • Implement best practices for territory planning
    • Drive adoption and performance of KPIs within CRM (Salesforce)
    • Design sales objectives and incentives; analyze sales results for each territory and initiate corrective actions
    • Drive Sales Excellence to increase customer satisfaction and provide a superior customer experience
    • Ensure high performance of team through effective use of Hollister Performance Management process (HPM)
    • Provide effective coaching and feedback for the development of Region Managers. Development areas to be identified and supported through the Hollister Development/Succession Planning process
    • Consistently demonstrate effective behaviors that support and personify the Company's mission, vision and values
  • Communication and Market Orientation
    • Regularly liaise with US leadership team, Secure Start Services, Customer Service, Marketing and peers
    • Provide frequent business updates (including sales performance review and KPI's) to senior leadership team
    • Lead the preparation and presentation of MMR, Mid-Year review, Annual Operating Plan and business reviews
    • Continually update personal and corporate knowledge related to customers and their needs, competitors, payers, and local government & regulatory bodies

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Ability to travel 70% of the time, often overnight, focusing on Hollister Corporate presence and customer aligned activities
  • Demonstrated sales, negotiating and contract closure management within customer portfolio
  • Ability to lead a team of six regional sales managers

Work Experience Requirements

  • Number of overall years necessary: 8-12
  • 10+ years' experience in field sales/sales management preferred

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related area required

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

  • Working Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Working knowledge4 of information technology systems (call center preferred)
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop a sales team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong presentation skills
  • Medical device or healthcare industry experience preferred
