About The Opportunity
The person in this position is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery involved in the production of products.Shift
- Weekend Shift - 12 Hours (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
- Operate and maintain machinery to achieve standard rates Perform a variety of inspections
- Make adjustments
- Conduct preventive maintenance
- Perform film changes
- Utilize tools to make minor adjustments
- Interact with machine interfaces to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments
- Learn Pack Manager and navigate the system
- Run two baggers simultaneously
- Assist mechanics in troubleshooting
- Check codes as required
- Perform packaging integrity checks
- Maintain paper work
- Perform package and flavor changes
- Interact with mechanics during machine changeovers
- Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and surrounding work area
- Perform cleaning tasks during the shift, at the end of the shift and at shutdowns
- Follow instructions from supervision (regarding policies, procedures and all changes that may occur)
- Troubleshoot problems on bagger (VFFS)
- Competently work in either a group setting or alone
- Ensure product weight specifications are being met
- Operate all packing machines at specified efficiency (speed)
- Assist in preparing for shift production
- Shut off machinery before clearing jams
- Ensure equipment lockout procedure is used prior to doing any cleaning or adjustment/repair which requires safety guards to be removed or which may expose employees to injury through inadvertent movement of machine parts
- Complete all company required paperwork to document periodic quality checks, to account for product produced, and to provide other records as required by the company
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education
Level Desired- High school diploma or equivalent

- Ability to effectively work in teams
