Position Details:

As a Corporate Affairs Senior Data Analyst, you will leverage data to create meaningful metrics, dashboards, and other reporting tools that will improve the customer experience across the Corporate Affairs team. You will work with internal partners to create data-driven insights using analytic tools and will partner with leaders to advance data analytics, data visualization efforts, metrics, and reporting.

The role will focus improving department efficiency and productivity, implementing solutions to automate processes, promoting data-driven approaches, improving document, matter, and knowledge management capabilities, and implementing outside counsel management initiatives.

This position will help ensure data integrity. You will manage tasks, identify business needs and requirements and make recommendations, draft presentations, document processes and workflows, and analyze data, all in support of the strategic priorities for both the legal department and the broader Corporate Affairs Teams.

You will report to theDirector, Corporate Affairs Operations and will support teams within Corporate Affairs that includes Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Security Loss & Prevention and Environmental Health & Safety. This role is ahybrid rolebased in Lake Forest, IL.

You Will:

  • Lead the creation of high-quality, internal-facing dashboards to manage spend, profit planning process, goal performance, comprehensive forecasts, and other information required by leaders to support strategic decision making.
  • Problem solves complex issues and manage projects effectively with the goals of improving efficiency to advancing operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data analysis methodologies, and reporting tools.
  • Implement functional productivity efforts including, process optimization initiatives and automation efforts including workflow automation.
  • Support key data analytics processes from multiple systems, such as outside counsel invoicing, managing budgets and billing for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Assist with creating outside counsel management business reviews and pricing analyses to ensure complete transparency and accountability for outside counsel.
  • Perform ad hoc analytics to support strategy development and operations while also communicating findings and developing recommendations to leadership.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to generate insightful and informative reports.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security through regular data quality checks and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to departmental stakeholders regarding reporting tools, data analysis software, and data-related issues.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, exploring innovative ways to leverage technology for improved efficiencies, reporting and data analysis capabilities within the department.
  • Perform detailed, advanced analysis to identify trends, operational issues, and exceptions to help improve financial outcomes, customer experience, and company performance.
  • Collaborate with team members across the enterprise to advance, adopt, and share best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years of analytics and/or reporting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and other Business Intelligence (Power BI, SAP Business Objects, Snowflake, Teradata, and/or other database/reporting tools is required).
  • Familiarity with legal department technologies, including eBilling, matter management, document management, and others is a plus
  • Familiarity with Ethics and Compliance technologies, is a plus
  • Ability to lead team calls and deliver meaningful presentations
  • Desire to coach, guide and develop a team members
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment. Self-directed with accountability to make sound business decisions while demonstrating effective time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Strong written and communication skills and interacts positively with teammates and business partners.
