Position Highlights:
* Number of beds on unit: 18-20
* Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): Geriatric; majority of patients are 55 years or older; stroke, CHF, COPD, frequent falls, metabolic encephalopathy, dialysis, amputation, generalized weakness, traumatic brain injury (TBI), hip/knee/spine surgical patients; Patients have a minimum of 3 hours of therapy/5 days a week.
* Nurse to Patient ratio: 1:5 on day shift; 1:6-7 on night shift
* Department culture and resources: Rehab specific providers, therapy team-physical, occupational, and speech
* Frequent nursing skills/equipment used: G-tube; IV medication; Wounds-dressing change; Chest tube-monitor; Lift equipment

Qualifications:
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Current licensure in good standing as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Illinois upon hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
