Position Overview:

To assure that quality requirements are established, recognized and adhered to assigned products and production. KTEC Quality Engineer will be required to provide quality/process control measurements, provide analysis of that data and make improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects in lead role through cross functional project management skills.
  • Assist in the development of standardized installation processes working with Mfg. Eng., Design Eng., Operations, Quality and CI
  • Audits KTEC locations against standardized installation practices.
  • Responsible for implementation of standardized processes across all KTECs * Manages Knapheide Quality System.
  • Manages reports on quality related metrics for improvement by investigating trends, utilizing cross functional team for research/review for priority/causation/severity and managing corrective action teams.
  • Formulating and maintaining quality assurance objectives in order to meet requirements.
  • Utilizing lean and other quality tools and problem solving techniques for addressing all quality concerns.
  • Develop/program management for assigned projects including setting up installation trials, validation, destructive testing or fatigue evaluation, etc.
  • Leads/Participates in product and process based quality audits by both internal and external sources.
  • Lead technical and quality support for plant production, suppliers, and customers

Position Requirements:

Four-year technical degree or equivalent training and work experience. Must have the ability to gather and analyze statistical data. Communicate effectively and managing cross-functional groups is a necessity. Ideal applicant will possess the ability to organize work and keep records (some computer skills required). Must have strong leadership skills and be willing to accept responsibility. Flexibility in work schedule is a necessity

Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:

Normal standing, bending, walking and lifting associated with an office environment. Must be able to verbally communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Some travel will be required.
