Job Summary

Located in Chicago, IL and reporting into the Pharmacy Division this position is responsible for generating data and performing analysis for monthly P & L process, creating state level reporting and analysis for HCSC plan states. Constructing forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.

Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. Produces datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. May perform research and assists in analyzing financial and health data, including medical algorithms to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic outcomes, and cost containment strategies. Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor Degree OR 1 year experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy.
* Requires knowledge and experience in own function; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills
* Builds own knowledge of HCSC, business processes and customers
* Solves a range of problems
* Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
* Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

* Work closely with Finance; align on budget, actuals, expenses, monthly forecasts.

* Support monthly state P & L for pharmacy drug by state.

* Variance analysis.

* Excel mastery.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement to include 3 days in the office and up to 2 days working form home per week.
