Job Description

The Marketing and Communications Representative builds relationships with clients in order to proactively assess needs & problems related to the scope of work covered by the Springfield Clinic Brand & Experience team. This includes but is not limited to intake on areas such as: communications, content opportunities, brand management, patient experience, social/digital needs, website, etc. This position travels regularly outside of Springfield to markets covered by Springfield Clinic providers; with a specific focus on markets that are new or experiencing growth. The liaison must effectively communicate findings back to leadership & the rest of the Brand & Experience team and will lead the weekly hub meetings. The liaison is expected to have an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of the interworking's of all areas of the Brand & Experience team in order to think critically about the needs and opportunities presented during intake. Excellent people skills and an affinity for relationship building are key requirements of this role.

Job Relationships

Reports to the Director of Brand

Principal Responsibilities

  • Establish & maintain relationships with client groups (Operations, Physicians, APPs, staff, etc.) in growing or satellite areas.
  • Gain intel/insights on happenings in satellite locations (micro) as well as the surrounding market (macro) to determine where marketing/communications opportunities or potential concerns may develop.
  • Meet at regular intervals with various client groups to assess needs, evaluate and then recommend solutions to marketing/communications needs.
  • Run weekly hub meetings.
  • Find creative and/or newsworthy content opportunities for patient stories, recruitment and general brand awareness/promotion in growing markets.
  • Develop an understanding of the regional and local medical community and marketplace.
  • Participate on affiliations calls and coordinate integration days for new affiliating groups and/or on boards.
  • Identify pain points or things that might be detrimental to the brand or patient experience and report back to the team.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate findings effectively with all members of the brand & experience team.
  • Make professional suggestions and provide guidance for best practices to clients, explore alternative options and anticipate future needs when applicable.
  • Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related concentration is required.
  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in marketing, journalism or related field is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent critical thinking skills required.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Ability to effectively assess/intake needs, communicate back to the team at large and follow-up with client.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and simultaneous projects and work well in fast-paced environment with attention to detail are required.
