Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Participate in the monthly close (preparation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and transaction/account analysis)
  • Participate in reporting packages (roll-forwards, P&L fluctuation analysis and balance sheet analysis)
  • Prepare and analyze various ad-hoc reports on an on-demand basis
  • Ensure accurate financial records by reconciling and resolving issues of respective general ledger and sub-ledger activity in a timely manner
  • Prepare and input journal entries provided by corporate accounting group and other departments, including obtaining appropriate approvals
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal control process
  • Work with the business operations and consolidate support office entries; ensure entries are being received and recorded accurately and timely
  • Work closely with other support office departments, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury, on requests and assistance during the month end close
  • Assist in the annual audit preparation, communicate with external and internal auditors and provide documentation as needed
  • Assist and take charge of various special projects and see them to completion
  • Assist in evaluating revenue adjustments and facilitate the monthly revenue close process
  • Assist in preparing bank reconciliations within the Company's Blackline system
  • Work with business operations to ensure revenue is recorded properly at specific locations

Qualifications

What you need

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting
  • Prior public accounting experience preferred
  • Prior internship experience preferred
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3/4.0
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • Strong demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize various tasks and/or projects
  • Team-oriented and willing to assist other team members with daily tasks
  • Desire to succeed in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
  • General ledger and journal entry experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong organization skills
  • Experience with Blackline - Cash Matching and Reconciliations, highly preferred
  • Goal-oriented with ambition to move up and grow professionally within the company
