About the team:

This team is responsible for support of over a dozen hosted application and components, close to 200 Environments including Client Demo, User Acceptance testing, New Release testing, Production and Disaster Recovery environments for over 50 clients. The team works very closely with different Customer Service and Technical groups to not only resolve client issues in a timely manner but also maintain stable environments and prevent issues. With so many environments and clients, there is a high dependency on automation to keep environments stable and complete all requires tasks in our changing environments. This will be an area of growth for the current and expanding team.

What you will be doing

  • In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced Application Support Engineering team for hosted Asset Management software systems.
  • Day-to-day application support of the Distributed Architecture (Hosted Web Apps) for the SaaS (Software as a Service) environments. Includes isolation of issues and coordinating of fixes with other technical teams.
  • Record tickets and service requests by scheduling / executing approved tasks.
  • Work with Customer Service, other Technical Subject Matter Experts and Development to triage high severity issues.
  • Root causes analysis research of recurring issues and permeant resolution and/or prevention
  • Follow-up to ensure the client's request is serviced in an appropriate and timely manner
    Work with other technical resources within FIS e.g. data centers, Network, etc. for planned system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Participate and represent Distributed Architecture team as part of cross functional teams to complete client and internal projects such as client onboarding, new environment builds, customer and datacenter migrations.
  • Establish and use application/system monitoring tools to manage and address environment issues in a pro-active and timely manner.
  • Implement and use existing automated tools to deploy software upgrades, Service Packs and hotfixes to UAT, production and DR environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts. Using Jenkins and Ansible tools to create new automation tasks and maintain existing.
  • Network certificates and ssh key creations and renewals.
  • Off-Hours support on-call rotation.

What you bring:

  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems and tools
  • Knowledge of Windows Server administration
  • Tomcat Application Server experience
  • Docker and/or Kubernetes experience
  • Knowledge of databases, specifically Sybase, Oracle and MS SQL
  • Experience with Automation and DevOps tools e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Resolve
  • Network communications and protocols knowledge e.g. Routing, Load balancers, VPN, SFTP, SSL, HTTPS

Bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of Python and PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of Release management or Software Release cycle
  • Experience with monitoring tools and logging tools e.g. Nimbus, Dynatrace, splunk
  • Experience with Network Certificate management and tools. e.g. Keyfactor, Venafi
  • Experience with incident and change management tools e.g. SNOW
  • ITIL experience

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $108,170.00 - $181,720.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
