Wieland is hiring a Sales Account Executive. The Sales Account Executive will consistently increase division earnings and return on investment through increased volumes, an enriched product mix and supply agreements that recognize Wieland Thermal Solutions value. Seek out and establish new business relationships while maintaining existing relationships with key existing accounts of responsibility. This role is located in Wheeling, IL and can be fully on-site or remote. While this role is local, travel to other locations will be required (50% travel).

Responsibilities

Sales Account Executive Responsibilities:

    Continuously pursue new business opportunities/quotes, and build a strong sales pipeline for growth
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan by segment and develop annual objectives for key account responsibilities
  • Develop a complete understanding of all products and services provided by Wieland Thermal Solutions
  • Utilize relationships and refine account plans to promote offerings to accounts of strategic importance while interfacing with customers on upcoming requirements, open order delivery status, new BUTS supply opportunities, any pending problems, etc.
  • Point contact for commercial negotiations and contract management with key customers.
  • Partner with inside sales to provide accurate sales quotes for leads and key accounts.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales booking & billing targets for assigned accounts/responsibilities
  • Coordinate with management, inside sales, operations, and supply chain on material needs and sales order fulfillment.
  • Effective use of CRM and SAP tools to keep track of customer relationships and provide detailed information regarding accounts
  • Identify new and existing competitors and consistently monitor their activity.
  • Key contact for global engineering and RDI for commercial activities with account base.
  • Support VP's in Strategic business/product development and provide real world data and market trends based upon industry knowledge and customer feedback

Sales Account Executive Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience preferred, preferably in metal sales.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
  • Strong customer service skills, including verbal and written communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, SAP and CRM software.
  • The individual must be a self-motivated and enterprising person with excellent organizational, time management, and negotiating skills while also having ability to build and maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service
  • Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and change management skills.
  • Teamwork, strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Previous experience managing a territory and growing sales volume & margin is expected.
  • Frequent travel is required. Including in person sales calls, customer entertainment, overnight stays and participation in various regional/national trade shows and sales meetings. On rare occasion weekend travel may be required.
