  • Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time & Part Time
  • Hours: (2) openings .9 FTE 12 hours 7p-7:30 am
  • Required Travel: none
Edward Hospital is looking to hire (3) total FTE 'S ( 2) .9 FTE dedicated APNs to oversee care for patients on the neurocritical care service. These APNs will collaborate with engaged neuro-intensivists to ensure around- the- clock, high-quality, expert neurologic care. We are seeking an APN to:
  • Provide care to adults with serious neurologic illness
  • Perform patient rounds each shift
  • Collaboration with neurointensivists, neurosurgeons, neurointerventional radiology, internal medicine, and other consultants
  • Partnership and support for nursing staff
  • Facilitate admissions to neuro-critical care unit, oversee the care of neurosurgical patients pre and post-operatively, perform clinical procedures within scope of practice
  • Maintain communication with patients and their care partners, provide updates and education on patient's condition as appropriate
  • Has a role in facilitating efficient care for stroke patients
  • Serves as a resource for clinicians overnight
  • Edward Hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC), designated by DNV-GL. Neurointensivists, neurosurgeons, and neurointerventional radiologists are on-call 24/7.
