The Lead, Brand Activation & Partnerships for our Distribution & Market Expansion teamis a newly created role dedicated to leading bringing our brands to life through our distribution partners, independent operators and growing hospitality groups, all priority growth channels and customers for the Away From Home (AFH) Business Unit (BU). This role is essential in developing clear strategic channel priorities, implementing structured marketing activation and go-to-market plans, and developing external relationships/partnerships to advise and drive our AFH objectives forward.

We have aligned and dedicated specific resources to support current and accelerate new, high impact critical initiatives for this channel and with that brings high transparency and high expectations. This role provides a unique opportunity to highlight our portfolio of #1 brands, some of the most iconic brands in the world, on a national level, diving deep with big customers and providing high-impact experiences to our consumers.

The Lead, Marketing Brand Activation & Partnerships- Lead, Distribution & Market Expansion will have direct interaction with cross-functional activities including AFH Leadership, Consumer Insights, Sales, Brand Marketing, Operations, Research & Development, and Finance, resulting in strengthened marketing fundamentals and a comprehensive approach to driving business growth. This role also interacts with customer and industry partners, developing direct relationships to effectively drive the marketing agenda and support the overall customer strategy.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Lead team of three (3) to drive our marketing strategy and brand activations through distribution partners, independent operators and high growth hospitality groups

  • Deliver impactful marketing activation strategies & execution for the biggest brands in our portfolio in-restaurant, E-commerce, our distribution partners and hospitality/restaurant groups

  • Growing strategic brand partnerships to deliver business growth and brand share/equity goals

  • Collaborate closely with brand marketing teams to translate business and brand goals into strategy & execution

  • Develop a network of close relationships with senior level customers and industry partners

  • Team up with Sales and Culinary teams to create and close business opportunities

  • Leverage consumer, operator, and chef insights to create channel strategies and customer selling stories

  • Hire, train, and develop high performing marketing team with tangible business results; a net exporter of talent

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Advanced experience in multi-channel marketing, product management, brand management; Foodservice experience a plus but not required.

  • Experience leading direct reports with demonstrated ability to develop and empower established teams.

  • Experience developing external relationships with senior executives with ability to influence decision making to drive initiatives forward.

  • Experience leading a P&L and Strategic Initiatives for a business.

  • Ability to persuade and build coalitions and credibility across organizations.

  • Self-starter mentality with a positive attitude to make a difference each day.

  • Adapt to changes in business, customer, and consumer needs.

  • Pro-active problem solver, with the ability to assess an issue and develop action steps for resolution.

  • Able to work as part of a matrix, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a common goal.

  • An impeccable ability for balancing creativity with business needs, inspired by the "now and next" and keeping the consumer at the center of the work.

  • Strong numerical and analytical experience with ability to interpret quantitative data and perform detailed trend analysis applying raw volume data.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a Hybrid role with 3 days a week in the local office, with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces. Additionally, this role requires working a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations

Physical demands include but not limited to

Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed (30-40%)

Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule
