***Seeking Experienced Diesel Technicians with passion and a desire to learn***

Join our team as a Diesel Service Technician specializing in luxury coaches and buses! A diesel service technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing diesel engines and vehicles. In this role you will diagnose mechanical & electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, conduct repairs, and ensure that diesel-powered vehicle operates efficiently and safely. If you're passionate and skilled with maintaining diesel vehicles to the highest standards and providing exceptional service, this role is for you.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on buses/coaches
  • Diagnose and repair one or more areas, such as electrical, HVAC, suspension, mechanical, pneumatic and/or brake systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and component issues and perform repairs accordingly
  • Conduct safety inspections on equipment and prepare safety documentation as needed
  • Maintain proficiency with equipment and technologies that enhance productivity
  • Ensure work area is always clean, safe, and organized
  • Interact with operations and shop management
  • Comply with the quality and safety standards of the organization
  • Complete documentation thoroughly and timely
Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Ability to look up parts efficiently and independently
  • Be proficient in electronic data and laptop use
  • Pass required aptitude test
  • Assist customers over the phone with technical issues and /or questions
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, or GED required
  • At least three (3) years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Provide own set of hand tools for regular maintenance
  • Proactively acquire and expand knowledge of the latest technology and systems in the industry
Preferred skills:
  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) would be preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery, including working outdoors in inclement weather
  • Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Travel:
  • No travel required
