Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a strategic sourcing expert, delivering best-in-class contracting strategies and expertise for Providence St. Joseph Health (ProvSource). You will develop customized contract strategy recommendations for complex contracting needs including purchase services, laboratory, and IT. You will reduce spend, improve operational efficiencies, maximize delivered value, and ultimately enhance provider satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Develop customized contract strategy recommendations for complex contracting needs, including purchase services, laboratory, and IT.
• Identify opportunities for supply chain cost reductions and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement contract strategies and drive cost savings.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to inform contract strategy development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providers, and suppliers.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to contracting and sourcing activities.
• Lead the bid process and generate Request for Proposals (RFPs), based on customer input with suppliers.
• Collaborate with team members, sharing expertise and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree desired.

• 5 or more years relevant experience required.
• Experience in a contracting, contract management or supply chain related role required.
• Experience is required in presenting complex information in a summary fashion utilizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience in strategic sourcing and contract management in the healthcare industry highly preferred.
• Strong background in healthcare contracting, with a proven track record of successful negotiations.
• Strong relationship building and strategic partnering skills.
• Willingness to travel.
