Location: Reston, VA (Remote)

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret

Salary Range: $112,000 - $168,000
Required Certification(s):
* None required, but strong preference for cloud, network, software development, or other IT-related certifications.
* Security+ or another approved DoD Directive 8140.03 certification highly desired.

SUMMARY
Agile Defense is seeking an experienced Solutions / Capability Architect capable of supporting business capture and proposal activities. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Solutions Manager and contribute at every step in the business capture process including providing technical support to the Federal Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) Business Development (BD) teams, the Proposal Team, Pricing Team, and Operation Directors and project teams. This position will support $10M-$1B+ capture efforts, collaborating with a team of experts throughout the process to enhance win probability by determining optimal solutions to meet customer requirements.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide technical expertise and support the BD teams at Industry Day events, customer Q&A sessions, and conferences.
* Meet with vendors and partners to review products and capabilities and analyze available materials and knowledge to develop solutions to meet customer needs across a variety of engineering and IT-related areas of expertise.
* Support Request for Information (RFI) responses.
* Apply appropriate techniques to develop a basis of estimate.
* Prepare and review status of ongoing efforts, briefing senior executives, up to and including members of the C-Suite.
* Work with the Proposal Team to craft a compelling Request for Proposal (RFP) response, including oral proposal materials when required.
* Support oral proposals as a presenter (presenting to senior-level government officials and evaluators) or acting as an evaluator during practice sessions.
* Coordinate and work together as a member of the Agile Defense Solutions Team, sharing knowledge with others and supporting ongoing efforts.
* Provide expertise to project teams upon request.
* The successful candidate can work remotely for this position but will need to travel (est. <10% / year) in support of business capture or coordination activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications
* None required, but strong preference for cloud, network, software development, or other IT-related certifications.
* Security+ or another approved DoD Directive 8140.03 certification highly desired.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience in technical roles requiring collaboration among team members and communication with senior-level customers (including oral and written communication).
* A bachelor's degree or higher is required, with a preference for engineering, computer science, or IT Management related fields of study.
* Strong preference for experience as a Solutions / Capability Architect supporting Federal Government business capture efforts.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills
* Experience researching and developing technical solutions to complex problems across a variety of scenarios. Must be able to mature an idea from a concept of operation to an achievable solution that meets customer requirements.
* Must possess the ability to understand a customer's needs through reviewing available materials, attending industry day events, written and oral communications, and knowledge of industry and federal government strategic planning.
* Excellent writing and oral communication skills. Must be able to present a variety of technical topics to potential customers with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
* Familiarity with Federal Government proposal process. Strong familiarity with common tools used in researching and developing RFI and RFP responses, including the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
* Ability to review materials, assess solutions, and develop graphical concepts to convey a message in a clear and concise manner. A graphical artist will refine any graphics produced by this position.
* Technical leadership experience that required determining a level of effort estimate and the skill sets and experience necessary to complete a project / task.
* Experience developing RFI and RFP responses including win theme development.
* Ability to lead meetings and achieve the desired outcome of those meetings.
* Must be able to support a flexible work schedule to meet deadlines and due dates.

Preferred Skills
* Technical experience supporting Network Engineering or Software Development efforts is highly desired.
* Experience supporting large ($100M+) business capture opportunities.
* Project Management experience including fiscal management of projects.
* Experience using AI tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions
* Opportunity to work remotely with <10% travel / year. Possible off-hours work to meet proposal response deadlines. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available if on-site.

Strength Demands
* Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
