Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is a not-for-profit social service agency with more than 100 program sites throughout the state of Illinois. Our services include mental health and substance use treatment; services for returning citizens after incarceration; housing and services for older adults and individuals with ID/DD; and a variety of services for children including foster care and adoption.
LSSI is hiring afull-timeProgram Director. Responsible for supervising the daily operations and delivery of substance use services as well as providing support oversight to the program. Also responsible for ensuring compliance with grant, regulatory, and funding entities.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversee curriculum delivery to clients and the scheduling of clinical services.
  • Ensure reporting, productivity, and service deliverable requirements identified by LSSI, SUPR, SOR Grant, and funding bodies are met.
  • Provide direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for assigned staff.
  • Review both written and EHR documentation to ensure compliance with SUPR and Part 2060.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards of treatment, including NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social services field is required.
  • Master's degree in social services is preferred.
  • CADC or the ability to obtain a CADC within 18 months of hire is required.
  • LPC/LCPC or LSW/LCSW is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in substance use field with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills (including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in EHR documentation and review preferred.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
