Position Title: Summer Day Camp Counselor
Report To: Summer Day Camp Director
Experience:
2 years or more experience working with youth in a community and/or educational setting.
Be passionate about the well-being and safety of youth.
Work well with others.
Excellent work ethic and punctuality.
Good communication, organization and planning skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Be able to uphold and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Position Ranking:
Seasonal Full-Time & Part-Time Summer, $14.00 to $16.00 Hourly
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must clear a criminal background check required by The Salvation Army. This Position is required to do moderate to heavy physical work. Must be current in first aid, CPR, and Mandatory Child Abuse training in Safe From Harm (provided by TSA).
Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
This Position is a high energy position. Interacting and being involved with the youth is an essential part of the job. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position the individual must be physically fit and able to hike, play, run, and other activities outdoors in hot weather as well as indoors. Must be able to go to the public pool at least once a week. The vision requirements include needing to be able to see the children in whatever activity may be going on. The work environment for this position includes indoor/ outdoor activities, both in and out of town with an often loud noise level. Individual must be able to frequently lift up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds.
