Job Description
Primary Duties:
Ensure that all water systems and associated equipment are operating properly via visual inspections, water management systems, and written logs.
Respond to a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems and troubleshoot to repair. Document and communicate problems encountered through electronic work order systems, electronic mail and voice systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspection on all utility systems and associated equipment.
Provide general labor services throughout all areas maintained by the Utility Maintenance department including cleaning and organization of designated work areas.
Successfully complete training and demonstrate an ability to perform equipment monitoring and operational checks on utility equipment.
Complete site GMP requirements in relation to training and site practices.
Maintain GMP training qualifications to ensure site compliancy standards.
Interact well with others in a team environment including Maintenance, Engineering team members as well as other internal / external customers.
Be able to work independently and follow escalation policy if needed.
Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
Job Requirements
Have knowledge of reverse osmosis units, Electro-deionization, Vapor Compression Stills, clean steam generators, water softeners, filters, steam and cold glycol heat exchanging systems. Understand and the ability to perform maintenance from written procedures in a GMP environment.
Must be able to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
Have basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
Have experience with automated control systems.
Have experience with boilers, air compressors, air dyers, and their associated steam delivery systems along with the automation controls that drive them.
This position has a 'floating' work schedule, which will fluctuate on weekly basis subject to JLL's operational needs and/or staffing deficiencies. You will be expected to work rotating shifts, varying start times, and/or different designated days of rest.
Knowledge and Skills
Have knowledge of the basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication.
Have working knowledge of PLCs, HMI interfaces and other automated devices.
Experience in oral and written communications in a concise and timely manner.
Work Environment
Work in GMP environments.
Safety first mind set.
Work with hazardous materials and chemicals.
Wear various PPE when necessary, per SOP's and JHA's
Work alternative shifts that could include graveyard shifts, weekends, holidays.
Work overtime when necessary and work varying shifts, including on-call program.
Lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights to perform job functions as needed.
Crawl, kneel and stoop and work in small spaces.
Education / Experience
High School Graduate
3+ years general maintenance experience
Previous GMP environment experience
Have working knowledge of CMMS systems.
3-5 years of Industrial Water Treatment and Purification preferred.
Electrical, PLC, and/or plumbing experience preferred.
Boiler operator certificate
Wastewater certificate
