Job Description
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Commercial & Procurement, the Procurement Manager is responsible for developing a strategic approach to the procurement and materials management process for the purchasing of direct and indirect goods and services. The Procurement Manager will focus on maintaining strong relationships with suppliers while playing a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes are supported by reliable and cost-effective procurement strategies. This position is based out of corporate headquarters in Rosemont, IL with occasional travel to our brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Lead negotiation and the procurement of raw materials, products, and services with focus on cost effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support and develop direct reports in day-to-day operations, career development and mentoring/coaching as needed.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to drive total cost effectiveness through vendor selection (RFP/RFI/RFQ).
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide timely supply of required materials and ingredients.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers as well as external legal counsels, fostering open communication, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market fluctuations to proactively adjust procurement strategies as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' supervision experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field.
  • SAP ERP experience is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong system knowledge and ability to navigate quickly to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in both direct and indirect procurement.
Skills
  • Must have knowledge of vendor sourcing and strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (including strong presentation skills), analytical ability, independent decision making, and results driven.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of procurement practices and procedures.
