About The Opportunity

Provide proactive technical expertise in the design, engineering and development of new plastic products and commercial offerings. Provide formal and informal leadership of ORBIS product development projects and technical support for business processes as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and exploit commercially viable technical solutions and product offerings.
2. Explore and apply CAD technologies and tools.
3. Maintain full compliance to ISO quality procedures and processes.
4. Lead and assist in the execution and implementation of new products from concept to full production.
5. Validate finished products.
6. Complete documentation and cross functional communication.
7. Provide technical customer support and assistance.
8. Act as a role model and mentor to technical staff with less experience.
9. Troubleshooting and special projects as assigned.

Education/CertificationLevel Required - Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Knowledge of plastic part design requirements.

2. Ability to handle the stress of working with others.
3. Ability to be available outside of normal work hours.
4. Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others.
5. Ability to lead by example.
6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles.
7. Knowledge of methods and accepted practices of plastic injection molding, tooling, and tooling design.

Travel Requirements
* Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally to support the business,
including overnight stays and extended work hours during work meetings, travel may includeweekends.
* Ability to obtain a passport.
