Key Responsibilities and Expectations

The Area Manager is responsible for leading the business unit to deliver safety, operational, profit, sales, and customer KPI goals utilizing the IPS operating system known as CIPS (Continuous Improvement Process Solution). Overall responsibility for managing and growing the key value stream of field service. Build and sustain a culture around the IPS values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Entrepreneurial Spirit by utilizing a Servant Leadership mindset and practices. Recruit and develop a top performing organization while improving overall employee engagement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams' members and optimize allresources
  • Strong communication skills with all stakeholders from Executive Management to field personnel to customers
  • Identify and act on industry, market, and Service Center trends using data analysis to correct issues and captureopportunities
  • Demonstrate management skills such as leadership, planning, and organization, resource and talentmanagement
  • Self-aware learner with emotional intelligence to help those aroundthem
  • Leverage best practice to advance facility skills andknowledge
  • Analyze financial data to optimize operational and field efforts in conjunction with the Director of Field Services
  • Apply Organization Design practices to optimize structure and enablegrowth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and drive processexcellence
  • Driver for results - insists on excellence in all facets of thebusiness
  • Develop and maintain key customerrelationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and develop effective cross functional teams in a matrixorganization
  • Demonstrated technical acumen to manage complex field service business with diverse customer segments and multiple productlines
  • Walk the talk on IPS values and be a Servant Leader to remove obstacles, develop the team, meet performance objectives and improve thebusiness

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business or relatedTechnicaldegree preferred
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize projects by delegatingappropriately
  • 5 years of combined experience in general management or operations in a power management businesspreferred
  • 3 years of Lean Manufacturing or 6-Sigma problem solving skillspreferred
  • 3 years of experience managing large scale projects
  • MBAand Lean Certification a plus
