Your role at Baxter

The Jr. Clinical Solutions Architect will partner with key internal stakeholders to deliver first-pass yield, nurse call and locating wiring diagrams and as-built drawings that achieve quality across the Baxter project portfolio. The successful candidate will ensure timely completion and delivery of quality drawings that minimize the occurrence of change orders and project concessions.

The Jr. Clinical Solutions Architect will travel for training on the primary role initially. As the role progresses, there will be opportunity to travel to customer locations for proposal assessments and facility review.

The Care Communications Digital Health Solutions is a product portfolio comprised of communications applications and solutions including mobile clinical communication solutions, medical device integration, alarm and alert management, waveform visualization and solutions for natural language processing. Together these solutions are focused on a vision of unifying the software platform to drive workflow efficiency, improve patient outcomes and strengthen patient engagement. Our Digital Health portfolio is regularly expanding to include innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

  • The primary job function will create wiring diagrams that indicate installation sequence and wiring schematics for both nurse call and locating product lines.

  • The primary job function will also create as-builts drawings, using drawings marked up by installation contractors, to deliver to Customers.

  • Assist in sales cycle by converting Customer provided drawings (.dwg file format) to Baxter border and scale to prepare for Clinical Solution Architect team to use for system design.

  • As the role progresses, the secondary job function will assist and support the Clinical Solution Architect team with project documentation such as statement of work, scope of work, and quotation tools.

  • A secondary job function is to assist with architectural assessments within any of the defined Care Communications workflows such as nurse call, voice communication, secure texting, codes, rapid response, clinical integrations, EHR, monitoring and clinical training.

  • Travel: 10%

What you'll Bring:

  • Associate degree in Computer Design, Building Information Modeling Degree (BIM), Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit or similar in a related field.

  • 3 years of dynamic experience in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D BIM modeling, and 2+ years of healthcare construction experience is preferred.

  • Experience estimating multiple scopes, with the capability of building conceptual estimates.

  • 3+ years of BIM experience in healthcare construction, IT healthcare low-voltage industry or similar is preferred.

  • Familiarity with and ability to read and understand complete construction drawing sets, including architectural, structural, FFE, IT and MEP scope.

  • Experience with a general contractor, electrical contractor or low-voltage contractor a plus.

  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal team members.

  • Ability to triage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work to deadlines, handle workload accordingly through prioritization, possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of IT network, servers, and infrastructure a plus.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $54,400 - $74,800 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
