AAM Assistant Product Manager

The primary responsibility of the AAM Assistant Product Manager is to assist the product team in improving and expanding the offering of BCA and Bower automotive and HD truck products. This position is responsible for managing data needed to develop and expand product offering to market and customer needs. To achieve this goal, a successful Assistant Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams in Sales, Engineering, and Operations.

Major Responsibility:

• Manage and develop part attributes while assigning BCA/BOWER Part numbers including UPC/Barcodes.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to successfully maintain current portfolio and in launching new customers/products, working closely with Sales, Procurement, Demand planning, Marketing, Cataloging, and Pricing.

• Understand and investigate JDE solutions to manage product functions internally.
• Purchase OE samples for part validation.
• Oversee OE/Competitor sample inventory.
• Identification of internal NTN "OE" numbers to ensure "First to Market" opportunities.
• Maintain master OE & Competitor interchange database.
• BCA/BOWER coverage research using OE Motor data. Report any missing/incorrect coverage.

• Analyze market for growth potential. Identify/research new opportunities through customer feedback, market research, and industry to add value and coverage to the brands we offer.
• Collaborate and work with cross functional teams to successfully maintain current portfolio and in launching new customers/products, working closely with Sales, Procurement, Demand planning, Marketing, Cataloging, and pricing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of experience in automotive aftermarket/OEM or similar field preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of standard software (especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to simplify complex data into a clear and concise way in communications and presentations.
• Ability to multitask and handle several projects and responsibilities at same time independently.
• Superior leadership and teamwork potential.
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to look at data and assignments from multiple viewpoints and different levels of detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Superior analytical skills.
• High level proficiency with Excel.
