Job Description

Juniper Networks has an immediate opening for a team-oriented, highly effective, and motivated technical leader (SEM). This position reports to the Sr. Director of Sales Engineering. This SEM position will provide consistent team and business leadership with a focus on Partner sales growth (SA), technical and operational excellence, and SE development for Juniper's North America Service Provider (NASP) Channel Business, including AT&T and Verizon.

The position is responsible for tactical and strategic leadership to the Partner Sales Engineering team. Accountabilities focus on outcome-based technical enablement through Partner engagement, team development, and alignment of organizational capability to create a positive bias for Juniper products, solutions, and services. The area of focus also includes the definition and adaptation of Partner transformation initiatives as the market continues to evolve toward cloud and software-oriented networking. The SEM will team with the Regional Partner Sales leader(s) and develop key relationships with Partner Principals and ownership along with Juniper Corporate, field SE and sales management leading to a more integrated go-to-market model (GTM).

The successful candidate will be an accomplished self-starter with leadership experience; aware of market trends and transitions; understand data network systems architecture and associated business value; have experience or familiarity with channel and SI business motions; have proven track record to work in a matrix environment and possess excellent communication, presentation and organization skills.

Balanced professional, technical and intuition for business is fundamental.

Regional and Corporate travel (40% and variable)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sales strategy and execution plan to accelerate and achieve revenue targets
  • Increase Partner awareness, preference, and purchase of Juniper products, solutions, and services with metrics on effectiveness.
  • Structured technical enablement initiatives including technical reviews, Proofs of Concept (POCs) demonstrations, events, webinars, and workshops
  • Development and Sponsoring of Juniper Partner Champions
  • Alignment of Partner SE resources to business plans and channel imperatives
  • Set team/individual goals and objectives in support of Partner strategy
  • SE staffing, development and workflow
  • Business operations and administrative functions
  • Serve as a technical executive for SPaaCh in NASP
  • Model the 'Juniper Way' and company values

Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven experience in technology sales leadership roles with a strong background in LAN/WAN infrastructure; architecture; concepts and associated technologies
  • Thorough understanding of the pre-sales engineering and sales processes ideally with experience in VAR channel and systems integrator models
  • Familiarity with current networking and business model trends, market dynamics and technological adjacencies (i.e. virtualization, SW subscription models, cloud services)
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, assign and manage technical workstreams to completion
  • Demonstrated strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive-level technical decision-makers
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and collaborative work skills
  • Minimum BS/BSE/EE degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent work experience in computing, software or network communications.

Minimum Salary: $173,184.00

Maximum Salary:$248,952.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $173,184.00 and $248,952.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirement
