The Dermatology Department at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Associate Professor and Professor candidates have an opportunity to interview for the Department's Vice Chair position.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and expand an established, independent, externally funded research program. The candidate's focus should fit within the broad research agenda of the department, which includes 6 main areas of focus: i) Epithelial-mesenchymal communication and epithelial differentiation; ii) Genomics/epigenomics; iii) Immunobiology; iv) Wound healing/regeneration; v) Skin cancer; and vi) Nanotechnology and bioengineering. The individual will also hold a joint appointment in a basic science department with access to graduate students and is expected to participate in their teaching program. In addition, the candidate should have a desire to train medical students, residents, postdoctoral fellows, and participate in departmental teaching. The candidate should be enthusiastic and interested in engendering intra- and inter-departmental collaborations. Faculty have access to Northwestern's Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-based Center, as well as other Cores, and the opportunity to be a mentor for the Cutaneous Biology T32-funded fellowship. The department's clinical research infrastructure and biobanking capacity facilitate translational research.
