Department OverviewOur Applied Technology organization puts some of Motorola Solutions' brightest minds on unique, highly challenging projects.   • Stockroom associates are responsible for the flow of material from a central point of receipt to the production floor, an internal destination, or into a storage location. This employee will be responsible for picking manufacturing orders, receiving, unpacking, processing, organizing, storing, packaging, and labeling material.

  • Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Kitting and De-Kitting of manufacturing orders to and from the automated assembly line using multiple databases.

  • Check material and supply deliveries for accuracy and verify that the quantity received matches bills of lading, purchase orders, and other documents.

  • Participate in formal periodic inventory audits.

  • Research inventory discrepancies and report physical counts for reconciliation.

  • Ship merchandise and supplies in and out of inventory to internal locations, departments or shipping providers.

  • Advise appropriate partners about product placement and new inventory levels.

  • Organize the stockroom and ensure accurate labeling, logical placement, neat arrangement, and cleanliness.

  • Fulfill factory orders using automated scanning tools which interface with multiple operating systems.

  • Organization and multitasking skills: High levels of efficiency and engagement are required while performing repetitive tasks.

  • Communication skills: You should be able to clearly communicate specifications to co-workers, orally and in writing.

  • Manual skills: You might use a wide range of equipment and machines, including manual pallet jacks , inventory scanning guns, and forklifts. Training, experience, or appropriate certification with this type of equipment would be helpful and may even be required.

  • Computer skills: Skill and experience in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook is required, along with experience with other inventory-specific software programs. Proficient use of a calculator will be required.

  • Certification: ForkLift Certification preferred.

Basic Requirements
  • Being a us citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by Government contracts

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Experience:Previous warehouse, logistics, stock, receiving, or inventory experience required.
