ACBL is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely execution of the coal transfer process. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing essential functions related to equipment maintenance and operation.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT

Essential Duties/Functions:

  • Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment as necessary.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for new and existing equipment.
  • Complete machine work as indicated on job blueprints and manufacturer specifications manuals.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and sketches.
  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections.
  • Operate conveyor systems, mobile equipment, which includes, backhoes, bulldozers, and rubber-tired bucket loaders to repair to check for proper operation and/or adjustment.
  • Climb up & down rail car ladders to lock & unlock intermodal containers through the transfer process.
  • Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
  • Complete written record of work performed.
  • Complete welding repairs to ABS standard.

What we are looking for...

You will need to have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years' experience in a construction, industrial maintenance operations.
  • The ability to weld is required.
  • Must pass and maintain safety/operation requirements of manlift operation.
  • Must be able to climb heights and work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to a rotating shift, including weekends.
