Job Description
NOTE: We have opportunities as a Psychologist or Therapist (LCSW/LCPC) to join our Dreyer group in Aurora, IL. We have opportunities for our Psychologist or Therapist to see a variety of clients, varying from a pediatric population, adults only, or a mix of both. We have hybrid flexibility for our providers too.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of adult, children and adolescent patients, except as specifically excluded from practice, including care of patients presenting with mental, behavioral, addictive or emotional disorders (e.g., psychoses, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, developmental disabilities, sexual dysfunctions and adjustment disorders). Privileges include providing outpatient consultation with physicians in other fields regarding mental, behavioral or emotional disorders, and the provision of psychotherapy testing, psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, behavior modification, and consultation to the courts, schools, and/or places of employment.



Education/Experience Required:

  • Psychologist: Successful completion of an accredited training program, leading to a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology
  • Therapist: Successful completion of an accredited training program, leading to a Masters Degree in social work or professional counseling.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Psychologist: Maintenance of Licensed Psychologist License
  • Therapist: Maintenance of LCSW or LCPC
  • Computer skills



Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Knowledge of professional medical practices and care to give and evaluate patient care.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
  • Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide on-going patient care
  • Skill in taking medical history, assessing medical condition and interpreting findings
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, and the public
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in urgent and emergent situations
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis
