Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Gig Physician Assistant (PA) works in accordance with professional standards of care and adheres to the corporate philosophy of OSF. The Gig PA shall be responsible for providing high quality patient care to the patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care. As a Gig PA, they control their own flexibility of preferred shifts/locations and create a schedule that work for them, on their time. There is no minimum number of hours needed to work but it is limited to less than 30 hours per week. They are responsible for maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided, and maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by the Provider or other support staff. Also, exercising diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs of the practice to a minimum, while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients and providing a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to all patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care.

Job Specifics
  • OSF OnCall is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Advanced Practice Provider to join a modern urgent care clinic in Chicago.
  • Sole provider model with care guides a mixture of MOA/CMA/LPN/Rad tech. Lead provider and office manager support
  • Schedule 7:45am - 8pm, or last patient seen clinic close.
  • Three, 12 hours shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Average Daily Census of 26 patients
  • Epic EMR

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies License/Certifications: PHYA Physician Assistant IL Controlled Substance License DEA BLS/ALS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Other: Knowledge of national medical best practices within an urgent care setting Knowledge of communication skills with ability to listen actively and respond to fellow coworkers and customers in a timely, competent manner both verbally and non-verbally Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computers and related systems and software Knowledge of department policies and established confidentiality policies Skilled in effective interpersonal, oral, and written communications including grammar and spelling Proven ability to work independently, efficiently under pressure, and take initiative when needed
