Reporting to the Sr. Director, Indirect Sourcing, this person will be a critical leader responsible for leading the development and implementation of sourcing strategies across all Regal Rexnord segments with a focus on our MRO supplies

We're looking for a MRO expert to join our Workplace team You will be responsible for end-to-end execution and management of our MRO strategic sourcing program and policies. This role is ideal for an exceptional person who is passionate about innovating and understanding of cost drivers, leading to business decisions and ultimately scaling within a high growth organization. The role requires a driven individual who is experienced in developing, managing, and scaling MRO programs with the ability to drive strategic relationships.

The MRO Category Manager will be a primary point of supply chain leadership for Regal Rexnord facilities and a critical leader within the corporate supply chain team. In concert with the supply chain organization, this key role will be responsible for providing comprehensive sourcing leadership of the MRO categories and support to Regal Rexnord's Business Segments and Operations with primary focus on cost management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management. This key role will work closely with the global supply chain teams, segment, Plant Management, Plant technicians, Maintenance personnel, corporate leaders in the development of strategic plans and actions, while proactively engaged in supporting projects to assure attainment of agreed upon performance across Regal Rexnord. This position partners in the establishment and deployment of standard processes, policies and procedures, taking the necessary steps to assure compliance. This position leads the effort to achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between the suppliers, and the end customer in all form, fit, function, price, service, and delivery requirements.

This program includes strategic management of MRO Industrial supplies. This leader will collaborate with stakeholders (including engineering leaders, functional leaders, P&L Leaders) to develop category strategies, analyze spend data to identify opportunities, and lead the team through strategy formulation and execution. This leader will work with manufacturing and functional leaders and the sourcing team to drive category strategies for the MRO Category. Additionally, this leader will work as a liaison between the finance organization and sourcing to ensure functionality of expense reporting activity. This individual will partner with all levels of leadership cross-functionally to build impactful, efficient, and cost-effective business and supplier relationships. This leader will support initiatives and processes targeted at improving operational and supply chain execution, customer service levels, customer segmentation strategies, and the optimization of the "total cost of ownership" (TCO) for the MRO buy. Will share responsibility for trade working capital (TWC) metrics and execution, including support of our third party financial partners who provide a variety of financial instruments to improve TWC performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Regal Rexnord's overall objectives, providing strategic leadership by setting the vision, strategy, and objectives for the global MRO category, across the enterprise.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers, often dealing with internal and external leaders at higher organizational levels (VP's, Principals, CFO's).
  • Manage complex multi-year supplier relationships aligned to enable our front-end portfolio strategies
  • Plans, organizes, directs, controls and communicates all strategic sourcing activities related to assigned commodities and services to cross functional supply, engineering, technical support and operations group
  • Have a deep understanding of the global markets, inform BA/BU leadership, sales, controlling, etc., about market and supply trends
  • Translate regional/global procurement strategy into detailed category plans with a set of measurable global, regional, and local targets and facilitate procurement processes and policies for regional/global alignment.
  • Manage and expand Procurements "punchout" method & technology to support sites to efficiently procure from multiple supplier catalogs
  • Building relationships with suppliers to position us as a preferred customer.
  • Leading business reviews of service providers
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions at facilities with cross functional teams to identify strategic opportunities and deployment priorities on cost saving initiatives.
  • Works with all Regal Rexnord to create regional and global cost savings funnels that align with commercial strategies and financial targets
  • Drive spend analysis, including counter measures for projects that fall short of plan and makes decisions to remedy the issues to get the teams back on track to meet or exceed plan
  • Develop and delivers strategies that will deliver year over year cost savings.
  • Possesses an understanding of total cost of ownership
  • Proactively assesses internal and external process improvements and influences effective change and drive innovation and continuous improvements
  • Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future (industry trends in pricing and availability that will impact the business) material availability, and prepares market analysis reports
  • Responsible for timely reporting to agree upon KPI's and presenting Strategic Sourcing plans, activities and progress
  • Establish Regal Rexnord's indirect sourcing strategy with focus on of our manufacturing operations and corporate functions that support our customers globally
  • Serve as strategic partner to Regal Rexnord leaders, to drive appropriate Global and Regional MRO strategies for the entire organization which drive year over year enterprise value.
  • Implement and execute best-in-class decision making, e.g., Preferred Supplier programs, effective T&C structure and Global LTAs. Establishes proper metrics to ensure sourcing decisions follow TCO principles and delivers business value.
  • Strategic partner with all Regal Rexnord Segments
  • Drives our Regal Rexnord Business System in service through the development and implementation of supply chain strategies aligned to optimize performance.
  • Collaborates with finance in managing and improving working capital year over year

Professional Experience/ Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management, engineering, or industrial management. MBA in supply chain management or related desirable.
  • Proven track record of 5-10 years of MRO categories. Development and leadership of a MRO program, preferrable for a manufacturing company
  • Experience with development of strategic sourcing processes and development of a strategic sourcing team. Sourcing for Industrial Manufacturing a plus. APICS certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive productivity and compliance throughout a complex organization
  • Ability to support multifaced business requirements established by each Segment. Comfortable working in a results oriented environment with broad base of business requirements.
  • Ability to think strategically, conceptually, and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations
  • 80/20 Experience and Business and Operational Segmentation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, interact, and influence at all levels of the organization to drive results.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellence in generating accurate and understandable data and reports to analyze performance to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to develop trusted, respectful relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of personal initiative, energy and ownership of business results.
  • Strong Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications required. Knowledge of Oracle a plus.
