Lutheran Social Services of Illinois’ Project IMPACT is a program located in the Emergency Rooms of Methodist hospitals on Chicago’s Northside. Trained Counselors assist adults and children who are experiencing a behavioral/psychiatric or addiction crisis, whether by walk-in, by other referral source. When an individual comes to the ER with a behavioral/psychiatric or addiction crisis, the ER staff will notify Project IMPACT. Then an IMPACT Crisis Counselor assesses the individual, consults with ER Medical Staff, and provides services from Hospitalization to Out-Patient referral.

Under the general supervision of the Associate executive director and Supervisor will provide direction, coordination, and supervision to regional clinical supervisors within the network and provides clinical consultation and practice model development for welcoming Center therapeutic services within state mandates, COA standards, agency policies, and program plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Director will supervise and Manage day to day operation of Project IMPACT.
  • Provide support to Staff, Provide Clinical supervision as needed.
  • Also will manage to comply with Productivity standards.
  • Help staff to achieve Goals of Productivity Expectation.
  • Clinical Director will complete reports and provided direct services as needed.
  • Promote, maintain Relationship with key Partners, Hospital, community agencies, Funding bodies and other Providers.
  • Define and maintain staffing requirement, appoint. Lead, supervise, assign responsibilities to evaluate and coordinate activities of staff.
  • Ensure that documentation is complete in timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required
  • Licensure required
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • One year experience working with mentally ill patients in counseling, crisis intervention or case management
  • Problem solving/decision making in the face of complexity and ambiguity
