Job Title: System Administrator

Required Certification(s): 
·       DOD 8570-01M certification: IAT Level II or better (e.g., Security+CE).

SUMMARY
​The SDDC provides integrated and synchronized Global Deployment and Distribution capabilities to the point of need, delivering innovative transportation solutions on time, on target, every time.  Whenever and wherever Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians and Coast Guardsmen are deployed, SDDC is involved in planning and executing the surface delivery of their equipment and supplies.
Agile Defense is seeking a RHEL Administrator that will assist in supporting multiple programs in separate AWS virtual cloud environments.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·       Provide Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) virtual server administration utilizing AWS Cloud
·       Support multiple programs hosted in separate AWS Virtual Private Clouds
·       Complete Security Technical Implementation Guides on RHEL products
·       System configuration and patching using AWS System Manager
·       Install, configure, test and maintain RHEL operating systems utilizing AWS system management tools
·       Planning for and responding to service outages and other problems
·       OS installation and upgrades, managing system resources and optimizing system performance; performing system startup, shutdown, diagnostics, file management, user and group setups.
·       Develops/maintains systems configurations and executes administration and operational duties on computer systems while maintaining data/information as required
·       Unix shell scripting (Bash/shell, Python, etc)
·       Good communication and collaboration skills
·       Some on-site support required
·       VMware experience a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications
·       DOD 8570-01M certification: IAT Level II or better (e.g., Security+CE)

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
·       Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience in related field or 6+ years of experience in related field
·       Active Secret clearance.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills
·       Demonstrated, hands-on technical experience with maintaining and patching RHEL based systems.
·       A strong understanding of AWS/cloud-based technologies with a desire to learn more.
·       Demonstrated customer focus and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strength Demands
·       Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.  Some occasional walking or standing may be required.   Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
