Reporting to the Safety Program Manager, the Intern - Safety & Manufacturing Business Operations will participate in and support Vanderlande's Safety and Manufacturing operations.

As a Safety & Manufacturing Business Operations Intern, you will work with a team of industry professionals in the following areas.
Responsibilities:
Research, interpret, and share data to support a safety-related recommendation as part of the candidate's final project that will be presented to senior leadership. HSE Intern would work closely with cross-functional teams ranging from manufacturing to engineering to provide HSE support to day-to-day operations, conduct safety walkthroughs and audits, participate in analyses of workplace incidents, and help drive corrective actions. Drive safety performance and improve safety culture at the Supply Chain BU of Vanderlande.
Requirements:
Working towards a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, Business Administration, or a related field of interest, or previous experience in safety-related employment.
Strong communication skills: ability to comfortably interact with and influence stakeholders.
Computer literacy (PC, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Outlook, Smartsheet) Ability to develop and maintain key project metrics and assure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies.
