Our internship program focuses on providing our interns a well-rounded experience in multiple facets of the industry.
POSITION SUMMARY The Estimating Intern will focus on assisting the estimating team to complete the due diligence necessary to estimate the cost of work associated with a project. The Estimating intern will also shadow and assist with the client bid submittal process.
SOME EXPERIENCE’S MAY INCLUDE
Assisting with communicating to owners, subcontractors, and vendors
Reviewing and understand contract specifications and drawings
Identifying, define, and quantify potential project risks
Assisting with performing quantity take-offs and scope review for estimate preparation
Reviewing historical production data to develop pricing
Evaluating and compare subcontractor/supplier quotes
Assisting with conducting site visits and performing research prior to bid
Assisting other staff with subcontractor bid list preparation
Learning how to use construction software such as Bid2Win and Procore
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Currently pursuing undergraduate, four-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Other applicable degrees include: Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
Minimum GPA of 3.0
24 hours of college credits completed
Have a basic understanding of the construction industry and accepted business practices
