POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Estimator would primarily be tasked with providing quantity takeoffs for Highway, Civil & Industrial estimates. This position would receive direction from and work closely with Estimators and Project Managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to preform takeoff’s accurately
Performs plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates
Stay apprised of industry standard software including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process
Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoff’s
Develops presentation and submittal materials exhibits utilizing basic CAD and drafting
Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance
Special projects as necessary
Assist with other estimating duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree desired (Civil Engineers, Construction Management, or related field); High School Diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in construction industry preferred
Any combination of equivalent education and work experience will be considered REQUIREMENTS

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic operation of AutoCad. Knowledge of Agtek or other earthwork software is a plus
