Community Outreach to People with Disabilities

| These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with People with Disabilities receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience. |
Abilities Plus Abilities Plus is a not-for-profit organization located in Kewanee, Illinois focused on serving individuals with developmental disabilities. The organization began in 1959 with a class of seven children. Since that time, Abilities Plus has grown and now serves approximately 250 children and adults from Henry, Stark, and western Bureau Counties. |

AbilITy Connection AbilITy Connection provides opportunities and advocacy for people with disabilities for entry into a career in Information Technology (IT). The program offers mentoring, possibility for internships, scholarships, and job placement assistance to IT students with disabilities. The result is a qualified pool of candidates who can help employers meet their growing IT needs. |

AbilityLinks Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital started AbilityLinks to: increase employment of people with disABILITIES, increase awareness of the value of hiring people with disABILITIES, provide a resource that brings together businesses, employment programs and job seekers, and measure our impact. |

Access Living of Metropolitan Chicago Established in 1980, Access Living is a non-residential Center for Independent Living for people with all types of disabilities. We provide services that promote the independence and the inclusion of people with disabilities in every aspect of community life. We follow the independent living philosophy that calls for community-based, consumer-controlled service and advocacy programs that emphasize a cross-disability and self-help approach. All of our services are provided at no charge to our consumers.

Advocates for Access Advocates for Access is a private, not-for-profit, non-residential organization established in 1985. Advocates for Access is managed by and for people with disabilities. We are a Center for Independent Living dedicated to “Empowering People With Disabilities To Live Independently In Our Community.” To fulfill this mission, Advocates for Access provides direct services, combined with advocacy for social change to allow greater integration of persons with disabilities into mainstream life. We serve people with disabilities, their families and the community in which they live. |

Advocates Network of Kane & Kendall Counties Advocates Network was formed by families, providers, and friends of persons with developmental and emotional disabilities in Kane and Kendall Counties. The purpose of the organization is to network on behalf of the disability community and to advocate for needed services and supports, including housing, transportation, jobs/day programs, respite/in home services, and recreation. |
