About the role:

As an Industrial Engineer/ Process Improvement Manager on our Commercial and BPAAS (Business Process as a Service) Delivery Center of Excellence team, you will work directly with Senior Leadership Team to drive improvements in operational effectiveness and efficiencies across all production environments.

The main purpose of this role is to:

  • Simplify, standardize, and optimize Processes to make process "cheaper, better, easier and faster"

  • Create Better Reports /dashboards for executives and operations leadership

  • Using that Data and Analysis to Improve Processes

  • Imbedded the culture of continuous improvement into the DNA of the organization.

Together our goal will be to leverage your knowledge of Lean principles, business process management, and a Six Sigma approach to drive efficiencies in our growing Item Processing operations.

About the team:

Our Team is part of the Commercial and BPaaS' Delivery Center of Excellence which supports manufacturing and production facilities across 4 business lines (Card production, Lockbox/remittance, Item Processing and Print)

What you will be doing?

  • Work with senior leadership to identify opportunities to make operational changes to improve performance of item processing operations teams.

  • Provides leadership for business process analysis team, including planning, coaching, performance development and mentoring.

  • Capture, analyze and report on improvements implemented and the impact over the baseline.

  • Assess and recommend new software automation packages to improve current state or other tools

  • Work with leadership to embed lean principles into culture.

  • Create process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating changes to impacted organizations.

  • Aid leadership in processes for assessing and driving continued improvement.

  • Ensures deadlines and production schedules are met during improvement changes.

  • Troubleshoots issues that arise; handles escalated problems/questions from team.

  • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.

  • Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts.

  • Build the foundation of business process management where the organization leverage data/analytics/process thinking to drive daily operations.

  • Execute projects, bring increase revenue to bring savings / improvements to the organization

What you will need:

  • This position is available in Boston, MA, area. Candidate must live a commutable distance to this area as much of the work will be on site and you will be required to work a hybrid schedule.

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, process engineering (Six Sigma BB), Lean practitioner, manufacturing engineering, software engineer, business administration, finance, computer science, or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Requires strong management, organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills.

  • Requires strong business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision, and executive presence

  • General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications and banking practices

  • Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations.

  • Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management

  • Requires solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and management across technical and business functions across FIS as well as client/partner organizations.

  • Knowledge of capacity planning.

  • Knowledge of resource management and allocation

  • Process documentation.

  • Project management skills

  • Strong data analysis and excellent excel skills.

  • Self-starter, requiring minimal guidance
